Kerry Africa Day 2008 comprises of 3 events that aim to challenge perceptions of Africa and promote a more comprehensive understanding of aspects of contemporary life and lived culture in some of its many diverse countries. There is a music event, a film event and a photography ehibition. The emphasis is on celebrating the many positives that the vast continent has to offer, in terms of history, culture, economic markets and success stories. All three events will be free and open to the general public. This is a new event concept and it is expected it will become an annual event in the county.
