Visions of Africa Exhibition

The winning images will be selected by a panel of seven judges – three Irish and four African. The Irish judges are Michael Diggin, one of Ireland’s premier landscape photographers, Ciarán Walsh, the visual arts director of Siamsa Tire and Lisa McElligott, a lecturer in visual communications in the Institute of Technology Tralee. The African judges will be announced shortly.

The judging criteria which has been deeply informed by the Dochas Code of Conduct on Images and Messages.

Each image will be judged on the following criteria.
> Technical merit - i.e. composition, quality of image etc.
> Subject matter - i.e. how engaging, communicative the image is etc.
